The Dump - What I See
When you are looking for locations, try to think outside the box. Look not just for a pretty area look for colors that stand out to you and for your clients' clothing choices. I picked this area after driving past the Glendale Landfill area. I saw some green areas on the dump mound of dirt and thought, "hey This could be epic" I asked my husband to stop and go down that road that led to greatness. I jumped out of the car and ran to the landfill area and though "holy shit" this could be a dream! Granted it was high noon, and the lighting was readily available, but I figured HEY why not let's do the session here!
So here is it in all its glory:
Doesn't look like much, does it? But I look for colors! There is some green, brown and a little bit of silver from the power lines! Pair that with a bit of green, blue, black and white and you'll be golden! Yes, there are plenty of other colors that would have POPed, BUT I wanted this to feel like a real-life situation for senior portraits or just a regular couple session.

These sessions are so much fun, and the result is everything I wanted in these shoots. Even if you are using the same location, the same models, and event the same camera... The results are ALL DIFFERENT!
Here are the few that I ended up editing for this shoot!
I hope to see you at the next session!
Here is a fun little video, Daisy Greene Photography made!
